Seniors please vote for senior superlatives early; also sign on to your email for instructions for google classroom to add your senior quote.

SENIORS: Yankee Candle packets can now be picked up from Mrs. Fahy or Mrs. Oakley

Senior Boys, Mr. Spack is back.  Please see Ms. Girard ASAP to sign up to compete for the title of Mr. Spack.  

Juniors: FanCloth orders are due to Ms. Girard by Friday, November 9.  Please bring her your order form and money. She can be found in room 216.  Online orders will remain open until 11:59 pm on Tuesday, November 13. Don’t forget to order your gear today.  

SENIORS - The SENIORS IN THE CITY permission slips must be returned ASAP as it is on a first come, first served basis.

Club Happenings:

Club pictures for all students will be November 13th in the black box.  A schedule for clubs will be posted in the front lobby

National Honor Society’s monthly meeting will take place on Thursday, Nov. 15 in rooms 215-218 at 2:15. It is mandatory for all members. If you are legitimately unable to attend, give Mrs. T a note detailing why.

The STA, is hosting a district wide book swap to promote literacy throughout our district on November 13 and 14, from 6-7:30 pm pm, If you donated books, come to the high school library and receive "new" books for the ones you brought in.

Should you be thanking people who give meaning to your life? Come to the writing lab to write or to learn how to write an appropriate expression of gratitude.

The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department is looking for a new graphic design for its School Resource Officer vehicle. The design should capture a sense of the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department and the Spackenkill School District. See Officer Kilfoyle or Mr. Romani for more information.

Today’s Highlights:  

It’s National French Week and today is Blue, White, and Red Day. Dress in these French colors and stop by room 416 tomorrow for a French string bracelet. The French Club will also be hosting its annual Crepe Day celebration after school in room 416. There will be live accordion music and all-you-can-eat crêpes. All are welcome. General admission is $2.00. The event is free for French Club members.

Interested in joining a new club? There will be a Club Activity Fair outside the cafeteria during the lunch blocks today.  Students can find out about all the different clubs in the school, their purpose and activities and how to join. Stop by and pick up some information.

Debate club meeting after school today @ 2:10 to review and submit Spack Gear orders.  Room 418.

The Junior Senior Flag Football game is today at 2:15pm sharp!

Dress in these French colors and stop by room 416 tomorrow for a French string bracelet. The French Club will also be hosting its annual Crepe Day celebration tomorrow after school in room 416. There will be live accordion music and all-you-can-eat crêpes. All are welcome. General admission is $2.00. The event is free for French Club members.

There will be a brief Environmental club meeting today at 2:10 in rm 317 to discuss the activity fair.  Please make an effort to attend.

Today is Class Colors, Tomorrow is Show Your Spack Spirit

Mandatory Youth against racism club meeting, Today in Room 214, right after school. Bring your registration form.


If you are bringing a guest to the Homecoming Dance you must re-sign the guest list with a contact phone number for your guest.

Attention Juniors; Pep Rally sign-ups are outside Ms. Girard’s door. If you would like to participate in the games you need to sign up.


Juniors are needed to help prepare for our Hallway for homecoming week. Juniors come help with hallway decorations in Ms. Girard’s room after school this week. The more people we have to help the better looking the hallway will be.


Attention Sophomores; Pep Rally game sign up is on Mrs. Stongs door room 111. If you want to participate you must sign up. Sophomores; it is hallway decoration time! Lots of stuff to do, come to 111 after school today and all week. If you want the best hallway, you have to make it happen!


It’s that time of year...Please support the teachers and staff as they compete to "pie" their opponent.  All donations go to a American Red Cross to aid in Hurricane Relief.

Practices for the girls Junior-Senior Flag games are as follows: Seniors second practice is Wednesday 10/24 on the football field from 2:10-2:45. You must attend at least one practice to participate. Juniors will practice Tuesday 10/23 on the football field from 2:10-2:45. You must attend at least one practice to participate. Seniors sign up to play on Mrs. Oakley or Mrs Fahy’s Door. ACE mentoring program representatives will be here Today to recruit students for a 16 week program that explores the trades of architecture, engineering and problem solving. Please come to the auditorium after school to learn more about it. Refreshments will be served.

There will be representatives from Washington College at 8:15,  and SUNY Fredonia at 9 in the guidance office today.
